Drew McIntyre Cashes In His Money In The Bank Contract, CM Punk Makes Surprise Appearance

Seth Rollins returned to the ring for the first time since WrestleMania at Money in the Bank on Saturday when he challenged Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in Toronto. Earlier in the night Drew McIntyre won the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, and he teased that he would be cashing in his title shot tonight.

Rollins hit a Falcon Arrow for a two count and The Visionary looked shocked. Drew McIntyre’s music then hit and he walked down to the ring with the Money in the Bank contract. He handed the briefcase to the referee and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match became a triple threat match.

Seth went for a superkick on Drew, but Drew countered with the Future Shock DDT. McIntyre went for a Claymore only for Damian Priest to hit him with a clothesline. Priest went for his finisher, but McIntyre blocked it with a kick.

CM Punk then appeared out of nowhere and attacked Drew McIntyre. Punk and McIntyre brawled at ringside as Punk beat McIntyre down with a chair. After hitting Drew with the chair CM Punk paused and stared at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

He grabbed the belt and got on the apron. Drew tried to stand up in the ring, but Punk hit him with the belt and knocked him back down. Damian Priest then hit his finisher on Drew to win the match and retain the title as CM Punk watched from the announce table. After the match Seth Rollins yelled at CM Punk while Corey Graves got in between then and tried to hold Rollins back.
