Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan has been focused on her revenge tour for months now and she’s been putting all of her effort into making sure she takes everything Rhea Ripley loves away from her. Liv’s storyline with Dominik Mysterio has been one of the most talked about storylines for months now, but the situation recently took a dramatic turn when Dominik told Liv Morgan that he hates her.

Rhea Ripley has been patiently waiting for her chance to clash with Liv Morgan, and Ripley returned to the ring at SummerSlam on Saturday night when she challenged Liv for the WWE Women’s World Championship in the opening match.

Ripley made her way out into the stadium first and Dominik Mysterio walked her down to the ring. As Liv Morgan made her entrance Rhea Ripley stared her down as Dominik Mysterio exited the ring.

Early on in the match Rhea Ripley beat Liv Morgan down at the ringside area as Dominik look on. Ripley slammed Liv’s head into the stairs several times. She then got Liv back in the ring and followed up with a big headbutt. Rhea went for the Riptide, but Liv got out of it.

Liv threw Rhea Ripley into the corner and Rhea started selling a shoulder injury. She told the ref “it’s out.” Dominik checked on Rhea Ripley as Liv kicked her shoulder and sent Rhea into the steel steps. Liv got Rhea back in the ring and continued to target her injured shoulder. The fans went back and forth with dueling “let’s go Rhea” and “let’s go Liv” chants.

The referee asked Rhea Ripley is she wanted to stop, but she said no. Rhea was talking with Dominik outside the ring as Liv went for a dive through the ropes. Dominik shoved Rhea out of the way and Liv landed on Dominik instead.

Rhea Ripley then slammed her own shoulder into the announce table and popped it back in. Liv looked terrified as Rhea Ripley caught a second wind and dropkicked her into the corner. Ripley went for Riptide again, but Liv reversed it into a DDT. Morgan locked in an armbar then Ripley picked her up and powerbombed her.

Liv Morgan exited the ring and grabbed a steel chair. Rhea Ripley slammed her shoulder into the turnbuckle several times as she tried to put it back in place again. She charged at Liv then hit Riptide. Rhea picked up the steel chair, but Dominik Mysterio grabbed it before she could hit Liv. Dominik took the steel chair from Rhea’s hands and argued with her on the apron as he told her she can’t win the title that way. Liv dropkicked Rhea into Dominik then hit Oblivion. However, Rhea kicked out.

Dominik threw the chair back in the ring and distracted the ref. As the ref was distracted Liv Morgan hit Rhea Ripley with Oblivion on the steel chair for the win. Mysterio was smiling as he walked away. Liv Morgan was sitting on the floor and Dominik picked her up. Dom kissed Liv Morgan then left with her as Rhea Ripley looked furious inside the ring.

Backstage after the match in The Judgment Day clubhouse Damian Priest was livid. He questioned Finn Balor and asked if he knew. Balor told him of course he didn’t know. The rest of the The Judgment Day decided they would go look for Dom.
