This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from Perth, Australia and the show featured some big matches. Seth Rollins kicked off the show with a promo and shortly after Dominik Mysterio went on to defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Penta in the first match of the night.
The match kicked off in a big way as Dominik and Penta fought to the outside and Dominik ended up on top of the announce table after he charged at Penta and Penta countered with a back body drop. Later on in the match Dom made a comeback when he did a dive through the ropes and connected with a tornado DDT on the floor. Dom then threw Penta into the front row followed by the timekeeper’s area.
Near the end of the match Rusev ran down to the ring and Penta did a somersault over the top rope to take him out. While the referee was distracted Dominik grabbed a hammer and the Intercontinental Championship belt from the timekeeper’s area then placed the belt in the middle of the ring.
As the referee removed the belt from the ring Dominik hit Penta in the knee with the hammer then put the hammer in his boot. He connected with the 619 on Penta followed by a Frog Splash to pick up the win.
