This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw aired live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas and the show gave fans plenty to talk about. Some big names appeared on the show, but Dominik Mysterio was noticeably absent.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Dominik Mysterio is not medically cleared. Original plans called for Dominik to face Dragon Lee on Raw, but obviously that didn’t happen. Plans were changed and Dragon Lee ended up challenging Penta for the WWE Intercontinental Championship due to Dominik possibly having a concussion.
“Dom vs. Dragon Lee was scheduled for Raw but it appears Dom is in concussion protocol,” Alvarez wrote.
Originally WWE was advertising a Judgment Day segment which would have seen Dominik and the rest of the group appear and explain why they kicked Finn Balor out of the group last week. However, a video featuring Liv Morgan explaining that it was always her plan to remove Balor from The Judgment Day aired instead.
Over the weekend Dominik faced off against El Hijo de Vikingo at AAA Rey de Reyes. Mysterio managed to defeat Vikingo to retain the AAA Mega Championship, but it was revealed after that Mysterio was busted open as he showed off a nasty head wound following the match.
