Over the last few years Dominik Mysterio has broken out of his father’s shadow in a big way. Dom has managed to become one of the top heels in the WWE as he’s often booed heavily by fans at TV tapings. The former NXT North American Champion obviously has a father who knows a thing or two about wrestling, but he’s also received some helpful advice from other big names in the business as well.
Recently Dominik talked about his run with WWE so far on Busted Open Radio, and he revealed that Roman Reigns, John Cena and The Usos took the time to help him during his early days on the main roster.
“Honestly, it was really difficult. But at the end of the day I had the right people next to me, guiding me, helping me throughout this whole process. Guys like Roman Reigns, guys like John Cena, guys like The Usos. Just helping me and guiding me through this.”
“When I first started the live events, I was… I’ve said this a million times, but tagging with my dad and John Cena against Roman and The Usos for an entire summer leading up to Roman and John Cena, that was huge for me. I had no business being in the ring with those guys and still, they took the time to help me, guide me, and just move me in a certain direction where it would help me and benefit me in the long run.”
