Last week on SmackDown, Dolph Ziggler announced that he will be holding an open challenge at Survivor Series, and he challenged any Raw Superstar to take his IC Title from him.
This week on Raw it was announced that Sami Zayn would face off against Rusev, and the winner of the match would answer Dolph Ziggler’s challenge at Survivor Series.
Rusev and Sami Zayn clashed on Raw, and it was Sami Zayn who defeated Rusev. Sami Zayn went for the Helluva Kik, but Rusev stopped him when he kicked him in the face. Rusev pinned Sami, but Sami kicked out. Rusev then went to the top rope, and Sami Zayn kicked him in the head then pinned him for the win.
Sami Zayn will now go on to challenge Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series, and you can check out some highlights from the match below.
