A few weeks ago Sam Roberts released an interview that he did with Dolph Ziggler prior to WrestleMania 29, and Ziggler told Roberts that he hates John Cena and everything he stands for. Ziggler went on to say that he hates John Cena for real because he wants to be in his spot.
Planeta Wrestling recently caught up with Dolph Ziggler, and they asked him how he feels about Cena, and Ziggler responded by saying that he still wants Cena’s spot.
“Absolutely. I would love to be in the position that John Cena is in with the company. Of course. To be that guy that is always fighting for the championship, to be the guy who is always giving back to the fans, doing something important in the business, absolutely. I would love to be in that position with the company and I’m not someone who says, ‘Hey, I would like to be on top of the company.’ I’m someone that works so hard everyday to get to that spot and one day I will get there or one day I will not, but one way or another, the fact that you work hard everyday helps me sleep a little bit at night.”
Dolph Ziggler will be competing in the 30 man Royal Rumble match on Sunday, and it’s rumored that we could be seeing a few NXT stars debut as well. NXT has grown immensely over the past few years, and there are a lot of talented stars on the roster. But when Dolph was asked which NXT star is his favorite, he had nothing but praise for Tye Dillinger.

“I think it becomes a phenomenon all over the world and it is pretty amazing. It’s very cool. It’s its own brand and it feeds itself. I’m a huge Tye Dillinger guy. I’ve been a fan of that’s guy work since we worked together in Ohio Valley Wrestling 11 years ago. He works hard, he is amazing at it. I a great fan. I love the “10”. Everything that he does is fantastic. They say “the harder you work the lucky you get” so one of this times with all the hard work he puts in… he is gonna be lucky.”
You can catch Dolph Ziggler in action Sunday night at the Royal Rumble. The event is set to be four hours this year and it will air live on the WWE Network at 7pm EST, with a two hour kick-off show scheduled to being at 5pm EST.
