Dixie Carter Reveals Who Came Up With The AJ Styles Affair Storyline

AJ Styles is the current WWE Champion, but for a long time Styles was the face of TNA, which is of course now known as Impact Wrestling.

Over the years AJ was involved in some interesting storylines, but for better or worse his affair storyline with Dixie Carter is one of the most infamous storylines of his entire career.

The storyline featured some weird twists and turns, and eventually it was revealed that Styles and Carter were helping a pregnant addict named Claire Lynch, who later claimed AJ was the father of her baby. As noted, it was weird.

In any case, Dixie Carter recently reflected on the storyline on Twitter, and according to the former TNA President, it was all the brainchild of AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian.

After a few months the storyline fizzled out, and AJ disappeared from TNA programming before he returned in 2013 with a renewed purpose. He won the Bound For Glory Series, and later won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship when he defeated Bully Ray at Bound For Glory then walked out with the title.

He returned a few months later to drop his title to Magnus (Nick Aldis) before finally ending his run with TNA.
