This week on Raw, Universal Champion Kevin Owens faced off against United States Champion Roman Reigns in the main event, and Reigns defeated Owens. Roman Reigns earned a title shot by defeating Kevin Owens, and Owens will be defending his Universal Championship against Reigns at WWE Roadblock: End Of The Line on December 18.
Dave Meltzer noted on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that original plans for the Raw main event called for Roman Reigns to put his United States Championship on the line.
Over the weekend Roman Reigns faced off against Kevin Owens at WWE live events with his US Championship on the line. The matches were originally supposed to be Title vs. Title, but plans changed, and Stephanie McMahon decided that only Roman would be putting his title on the line.
Tuesday night WWE aired the first episode of their new cruiserweight show, 205 Live, and Rich Swann defeated Brian Kendrick to become the new Cruiserweight Champion.
