WWE made a huge announcement at Night of Champions when they revealed that Brock Lesnar would be facing The Undertaker at Hell in a Cell. The announcement came as a surprise as it was previously reported that Brock and Taker would face off in a rematch at WrestleMania 32.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that for some reason Vince McMahon changed his mind and decided to blow the Taker/Brock feud off at Hell in a Cell as opposed to WrestleMania. Brock was also added to the Monday Night Raw episode before Hell in a Cell. Brock Lesnar appearances are normally planned out far in advance due to how much it costs to book Lesnar. However both the Hell in a Cell and Raw appearance are dates that were added on, so Lesnar will be making even more money than his current contract calls for because he was booked for the two shows.
As far as Brock Lesnar’s opponent at WrestleMania 32, it obviously won’t be Brock Lesnar and a match with The Rock is said to be “not in the cards” at this point. Despite all the hype that was created by Steve Austin’s WWE Network podcast with Paul Heyman, a match featuring Brock Lesnar facing off against Austin is considered to be a long shot.
