Eva Marie was without a doubt one of the most controversial stars in WWE during her first run with the company, and earlier this year fans had a lot to say when WWE started promoting her return.
When Eva Marie finally returned to television she was paired with Doudrop for a little while, but they eventually split up, and last week Eva Marie was officially released.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Eva Marie left to do some acting work after she returned, and that WWE probably held that against her. It was also noted that Eva Marie simply wasn’t getting over.
WWE gave her a chance, but due to her age, lack of wrestling ability, and inability to get over it just wasn’t going to work. Stay tuned for more updates on Eva Marie as they become available.
