Details On Who Played Chris Benoit In The Dark Side Of The Ring Documentary

Season 2 of Vice’s Dark Side of the Ring series recently kicked off in a big way with an episode focused on Chris Benoit.

The first episode featured several scenes of footage with a man resembling Chris Benoit in a ring performing moves from Benoit’s repertoire.

It turns out that the wrestler playing Benoit was Tyson Dux, who worked with TNA in the past, and has also made a few appearances for WWE over the years.

Dux took to Twitter to say that it was an honor to play Benoit when he posted the following:

“It was an honour to play Benoit. I idolized him growing up. He is the reason I wanted to be a pro wrestler. To be apart of this was surreal. If you haven’t yet check this out.”

The second part of the Benoit focused Dark Side of the Ring episode is expected to be released later this week.
