The Rock was without a doubt one of the most successful WWE Superstars of all time and now his daughter Simone Johnson is getting into the business. Simone has taken on the name Ava Raine and the wrestling world is waiting to see what she can do inside the squared circle.
During a recent NXT Halloween Havoc media call, Shawn Michaels was asked about the status of Ava Raine and former Bellator fighter Valorie Loureda. According to Shawn Michaels both are coming along great and he noted that they could debut in NXT next year.
“In my opinion, 2023 for sure, but they’re both getting awfully darn close, so certainly might from a live event standpoint. We do a lot of obviously stuff here in the Performance Center, but yeah, easily both of them, maybe by the end of the year, but absolutely 2023 and certainly in the future. So they’re very close.”
Ava Raine will be the first ever fourth generation wrestler in WWE, and The Rock approved of her name change during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live a few months ago when he said, “She has a cool wrestling name, it’s Ava Raine.”
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
