A few months ago The Judgement Day turned on Edge, but he returned at SummerSlam and he’s been taking the fight to the group ever since. This week on Monday Night Raw, Edge defeated Damien Priest in the main event and he addressed the Toronto crowd after the show went off the air.
During his speech after Raw, Edge indicated that he hopes to return to Toronto one more time next year and suggested that he could end up retiring in Toronto.
Dave Meltzer addressed Edge’s contract status during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and he noted that the Rated R Superstar signed a three year deal when he returned to the company in 2020. However, it was added that if Edge wants to retire then he can retire.
Edge originally retired when suffered a career ending neck injury in 2011 and he was later inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012. In 2020 Edge made his surprise return to WWE when he entered the Royal Rumble match. Stay tuned for more updates on his future as they become available.
