The world of professional wrestling is an interesting place, and it was recently reported that WWE officials have been placing “do not slap leg when kicking signs” backstage at WWE events.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the ban on leg slaps is a real thing. However, it was also noted that Jey Uso did it in the cage match with Daniel Bryan because for many talents it’s just become a natural body movement.
The reaction backstage is said to be people questioning why leg slaps have become an issue with all of the other different problems going on.
The story going around is that Vince McMahon saw a big wrestler do a sloppy leg slap on SmackDown, and his reaction was to ban leg slaps.
The feeling is that the ban is one of those things, like WWE having a ban on wrestling during commercial breaks, that will be gone soon enough.
