The Monday Night Raw commentary team has undergone quite a few changes over the last few years, and when Adnan Virk took over play-by-play duties on the red brand following WrestleMania 37 he wasn’t exactly well received.
Adnan Virk only lasted seven weeks on Monday Night Raw, and shortly after his departure was confirmed WWE announced that Jimmy Smith would be taking over play-by-play duties on Memorial Day.
According to WrestleVotes, the Raw production people were “absolutely thrilled” with Jimmy Smith’s performance on Raw this week. Some of the comments people made referred to him as “tremendous” and a “natural” fit following his debut.
Jimmy Smith has also been receiving positive feedback from fans on social media, so it will be interesting to see how he does on next week’s show. Stay tuned for updates.
