When Bray Wyatt first returned to WWE in October of 2022 fans made it clear that they were very happy to see him. Wyatt introduced the world to a new character known as Uncle Howdy, and it was rumored that there was talk of putting a new stable together known as the Wyatt 6.
As these rumors were making the rounds Dutch and Vincent got a WWE tryout and they even appeared on the crowd during an episode of NXT in December of 2022. It was speculated that Dutch and Vincent were being considered for the Wyatt 6 stable, and Dutch noted during an appearance on Developmentally Speaking that things seemed to be heading in that direction.
“I don’t know if we’ll ever know, but definitely seemed like it was leading in that direction. I think it would have been great. We were down in NXT for a week or so back in December. Yeah, the ball seemed to be rolling at the time. It kind of just got stopped for whatever reason. Maybe it was the illness that he had, whatever, I’m not 100% sure.”
Dutch went on to say that he thinks the rumors about the Wyatt 6 stable ultimately helped his career when he added, ” I don’t think that I would be in the position that I am now with AEW if it wasn’t for him. We created that buzz on social media for X amount of months, and whether it happened or not, everything happens for a reason. So I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him right now.”
It seems that there was some smoke to the fire when it comes to the Wyatt 6 rumors, but unfortunately at this point we’ll never know what could have been.
