Recently it was reported that Renee Young gave her notice to WWE, and that she plans to leave the company after the SummerSlam pay-per-view on Sunday.
With Renee Young’s WWE departure looming fans are wondering what might be next for Young as she moves forward.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that even though Renee’s husband, Jon Moxley, is the current AEW Champion people in AEW were unaware that she was leaving WWE until the news broke.
However, one person close to the situation said that it’s inevitable that Renee Young will host something or do something with AEW in the future, but there’s no deal on the table right now.
It was noted that everyone in the company knows her, but if she does work with AEW it won’t be anytime soon because her WWE deal has a serious non-compete clause.
It’s worth noting that both ESPN and FOX are high on Renee Young as well.
