Details On Plans For The Rock’s Next Match

The Rock & Roman Reigns picked up a big win over Seth Rollins & Cody Rhodes in the night one main event of WrestleMania 40 earlier this month. Cody Rhodes then followed up by defeating Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion during the night two main event and The American Nightmare was confronted by The Rock the next night on Raw.

When The Final Boss came face to face with Cody Rhodes he seemingly set up a future match with the current champion when Rock told Cody that he’ll be coming for him when he returns. As of right now all signs point to Rock vs. Cody at WrestleMania 41, but it sounds like there’s a possibility that The Great One could return to the ring before the Showcase of the Immortals next year.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that they were told there’s a chance The Rock may wrestle another match late this year. It’s not clear what event the match might take place at, or who Rock could face if another match does indeed take place in 2024. Either way The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes is tentatively scheduled for WrestleMania 41 regardless of whether or not Rhodes is the champion or not.
