You never know what’s going to happen when you watch AEW Dynamite, and this week fans saw the return of the one and only Jeff Hardy. The Charismatic Enigma saved Matt Hardy, Hook and Isiah Kassidy from a beat down at the hands of The Firm, and then he delivered a Swanton Bomb to Lee Moriarty.
Even though Jeff Hardy got physical on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite it doesn’t look like he’s going to be wrestling an official match anytime soon. Matt Hardy recently teased Jeff’s return on his podcast and he also confirmed that Jeff underwent eye surgery when he said the following:
“Jeff just had some eye surgery. His eyes were just a little off-set, it’s just probably from wear and tear and beating his body up. They had to work on some ligaments and tendons in one of his eyes.”
Fightful Select is reporting that Jeff is still physically recovering from his recent surgery. There are said to be alternate plans for the next few weeks that don’t involve Jeff wrestling.
There’s currently no word on when Jeff Hardy will be back in the ring, but it sounds like there are plans for him to appear on AEW programming in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates.
