You never know when a big name might return and on the road to SummerSlam Goldberg made his return to TV when he challenged Bobby Lashley to a WWE Championship match at the annual pay-per-view.
Goldberg got his championship match, but things didn’t exactly go his way as the referee declared that Goldberg was unable to compete after MVP hit his leg with a cane, and Lashley took advantage by targeting the injured limb.
After the match Bobby Lashley continued the beatdown on Goldberg, and the Hall of Famer’s son attacked Lashley as he tried to make the save for his father, but Lashley put Goldberg’s son in the Hurt Lock.
It seemed that Goldberg’s business was far from finished with Lashley as he shouted “I’m gonna kill you” at the WWE Champion as Lashley and MVP walked to the back.
Now WrestleVotes is reporting that current plans call for the Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley rematch to take place at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia in October. Goldberg revealed prior to SummerSlam that he only had two matches left on his current contract with WWE. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
