People have been talking about all of the major changes in WWE in recent weeks and it looks like the changes have had a positive impact when it comes to backstage morale.
PWInsider reports that the old feeling of “walking on eggshells” that was prevalent in certain departments has quickly faded away. When it comes to the company’s production department the change has been described as “massively night and day.”
It’s being said that with the new regime in charge and Vince McMahon now retired there isn’t anyone yelling at the production truck or the announcers anymore as Vince was “extremely heavy-handed verbally” over the course of TV productions. People who work on the production side no longer see Mondays and Fridays as the worst day on the job. While the days are long people aren’t walking in and out with the expectation of some sort of PTSD following them home after Raw and SmackDown.
The entire department including announcers, cameramen, producers and directors have been extremely happy over the last few weeks. One person stated that they’re “allowed to feel like it’s fun to work here.”
Several people were reportedly looking to leave just months ago, but have reconsidered. Other people have said they hope the “honeymoon feeling” under the new regime stays as it’s already made a big difference in their professional lives on a day to day basis.
