Details On Jon Moxley’s Absence From AEW

Ever since 2019, Jon Moxley has been one of the most consistently featured stars on AEW programming, but fans have noticed that Moxley hasn’t been around recently.

A number of fans on social media have also questioned why Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli aren’t competing in the AEW Tag Team Title tournament after they picked up a big win over FTR at the Revolution pay-per-view. Fightful Select is reporting that this time off for Jon Moxley was planned ahead of time which means the team of Mox and Claudio would not have been available to compete in the tournament.

It was also noted that Jon Moxley has bookings in Mexico next week, and in Japan the following week. Moxley’s match in Mexico was said to have been planned well over a month ago, so by then he would not have been available for the AEW Tag Team Title tournament.

Stay tuned for more updates on Jon Moxley’s status as they become available.
