This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was a huge show as it featured a surprise appearance from The Rock, and it also featured CM Punk, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins in a much talked about promo segment.
Fightful Select reports that the claim internally is that CM Punk, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins were given a general outline for the promo. It’s being said that the talent, “knew they were all going to just go for it and see what happens.” Adam Pearce was listed as the producer for the segment due to the physicality between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.
During the promo CM Punk referred to Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre as “dips**ts” and it’s being reported that WWE production was not anticipating the line as there was a memo sent out which discouraged talent from cursing on air. However, things continue to appear well with CM Punk and WWE as there was no talk of heat or backstage issues after the promo.
CM Punk confirmed on Monday Night Raw this week that he will be at WrestleMania 40 next week as he’ll be taking on the role of guest commentator for the Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre match at the Showcase of the Immortals.
