Kofi Kingston first signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2006 and he’s come a long way since then. Kofi has managed to win numerous titles since then including the WWE Championship, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
Recently Kofi Kingston appeared on the Cheap Heat podcast and confirmed that he only has a couple of years left on his current WWE contract. However, he indicated that he doesn’t have any plans to retire at this current point in time.
“I have a couple of years left on my contract. I never say, ‘In two years I’m going to be done.’ This industry is so unique and so fun and such a short period of time in our lives, and I know it’s very hard to walk away. What a lot of people miss about it, and from being on the roster and what I’ve been told, they miss the camaraderie in the locker room.”
Recently Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been working in NXT where they are the current NXT Tag Team Champions. They’re currently set to defend their belts against Gallus and Pretty Deadly at NXT Vengeance Day on February 4. Stay tuned for updates.
