Vince McMahon returned to WWE last month and it’s no big secret that McMahon is looking to sell the company. It also seems that Vince is looking to sell sooner than later as Nick Khan recently noted that the expectation is WWE will be sold in three months.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that as of press time WWE has a stock price of $88.50 per share, with a market value of $6.588 billion. If WWE were sold for $8 billion key people in the company would roughly make the following amount:
Vince McMahon $2,552,969,558
Stephanie McMahon $170,842,415
Linda McMahon $50,320,030
Kevin Dunn $24,205,410
Nick Khan $13,837,200
Frank Riddick $10,931,948
Paul Levesque $8,323,822
It was also noted that the economics of WWE look very strong and even stronger going forward unless media rights fees decline. The belief is that Vince McMahon’s presence with the company is a hindrance when it comes to a potential sale, but Nick Khan has said that Vince is more than willing to step aside if that’s what a potential buyer wants. Stay tuned for updates.
