It’s that special time of year when everyone starts talking about the card for WrestleMania. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding what the big matches will be, and there seems to be a lot of uncertainty regarding whether or not The Rock will be part of the show. In the meantime it’s been reported that WWE is moving forward with plans for John Cena to face Cody Rhodes on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Fightful Select reports that they were told Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena was the plan for WrestleMania 41 as far back as mid-November. Currently The Rock is not being factored into WrestleMania plans, but it’s being said that everyone knows that are “at the mercy of his schedule.”
It was also noted that before Cody Rhodes returned and won the 2023 Royal Rumble match there were some people close to him who were hoping that a Cody vs. Cena match would take place at WrestleMania 39.
When it comes to WrestleMania plans it’s being reported that WWE has plans for a solid portion of the roster. However, there are alternate options on the table as well.
