Bret Hart is without question one of the most recognizable names in the professional wrestling business, and recently there’s been talk of the former WWE Champion signing a new deal.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Bret Hart has signed a merchandising deal with WWE. It’s not clear at this point in time if the deal prevents him from appearing on AEW programming, but it’s being reported that AEW believes Hart is not legally available to them due to the deal.
It’s also being reported that Bret Hart is not expected to be at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas for the Owen Hart tournament finals, but that Dr. Martha Hart will be at the event.
Bret Hart previously appeared on AEW programming when he unveiled the AEW World Championship belt at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view in 2019. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
