On Friday night fans saw Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair exchange titles in the middle of the ring, but at one point Charlotte dropped the Raw Women’s Championship when she was supposed to hand it to Becky, and Becky threw the SmackDown Women’s Title at Charlotte.
PWInsider later reported that Charlotte and Becky got into a confrontation backstage after the segment which was said to have been heated, but did not get physical.
It’s now being reported by talkSPORT that Becky and Charlotte’s friendship has been strained for some time, and it’s being said that things have been tense ever since Charlotte took exception to Becky calling her plastic in a promo a few years ago.
It’s also being reported that Charlotte Flair left gorilla position without talking to Vince McMahon and that Vince wasn’t happy about that. Following SmackDown Charlotte Flair is heading to AEW Dynamite in Orlando to support Andrade.
Flair reported pitched to lose the Raw Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair on Raw and is said to be a huge fan of Belair. Charlotte campaigned to lose clean to give Bianca Belair a big win, but the Raw Women’s Title match ended in a DQ.
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are now the champions of their respective brands and the next time they could potentially face off would be at the Survivor Series pay-per-view next month. Stay tuned for updates.
