This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was the special 6th anniversary edition of the show and it featured a big return. Andrade El Idolo made his presence felt when he attacked Kenny Omega, then Andrade officially joined the Don Callis Family immediately after.
Fightful Select reports that Andrade has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling. Andrade was fired from WWE and did not have a non-compete. It’s being said that the wheels have been in motion for his AEW return for at least a couple of weeks. The former WWE star will be working with AEW full-time.
Andrade originally signed with AEW in 2021, but parted ways with the company at the end of 2023. He later returned to WWE in January of 2024. It was noted that AEW thought they would be re-signing Andrade, but the claim is that they didn’t find out until late that he would be leaving the company. Despite the circumstances regarding his AEW departure, Tony Khan had positive things to say about Andrade following his exit from the company.
