WWE’s website has confirmed that Alex Riley will be having surgery next Thursday but did not give a timetable for his return. They noted that Riley is having a procedure done that will fix the degenerative arthrosis that he’s been dealing with in his right knee.
In what could be a storyline injury, they added that the recent attack from NXT Champion Kevin Owens left Riley with a back injury that’s keeping him out of action. Riley noted on Twitter that he’s expecting to be back in the gym just 72 hours after knee surgery.
