More Details On What Alberto Del Rio Reporedtly Tested Positive For, Interest From TNA

Alberto Del Rio was suspended on August 17 for violating the WWE Wellness Policy. The company announced last week that they had reached an agreement with Del Rio, and he had been released form his contract.

While speaking with the Mexican media last week Del Rio said that he violated the policy because he was on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). It was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Alberto Del Rio did test positive for elevated testosterone levels, and he also failed a test for steroids.

It was also noted that TNA is very interested in signing Alberto Del Rio. However, Del Rio has indicated in the past that he’s not interested in working for the company.

Back in July he spoke to the Indian Express about why he didn’t sign with TNA after his last WWE departure, and Del Rio said the following:

“At the end of the day you can love what you do, but you have to be rewarded. If somebody wants to have me in their organisation, they have to pay me, and there is no other place like WWE, which is a major league of progress and growth. TNA
does not have the wherewithal as WWE does.”
