Anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling, and PW Torch recently reported that Dean Ambrose turned down a new contract offer from WWE, and informed the company over the weekend that he will be finishing up in the spring.
PWInsider is now reporting that Dean Ambrose was offered a five year contract with WWE, which would have seen him make a little over seven figures annually, but the former World Champion decided to turn it down.
News of Ambrose giving his notice was reportedly kept quiet during Raw last night, but started to make the rounds backstage after the show was over.
It’s being said that Ambrose can “do what he wants” because he’s made great money in WWE and doesn’t live an expensive lifestyle.
Right now it’s expected that Dean Ambrose will be finishing up his WWE run in April or May, but it’s always possible that WWE will offer him more money, or a shorter term deal, but as of today the impression is that he’s leaving.
