Dean Ambrose has been a fixture on WWE programming for years now, but it looks like the former WWE Champion’s run with the company could be coming to an end sooner than later.
PWTorch is reporting that Dean Ambrose is currently scheduled to part ways with WWE at the end of April.
Ambrose reportedly broke the news to WWE officials this weekend, and told Vince McMahon directly in a meeting after receiving a new contract offer and a raise a few weeks ago.
At this point it’s expected that Ambrose will be finishing up shortly after WrestleMania, but it’s possible he could be written out of storylines sooner.
According to sources, Dean Ambrose has long been frustrated with the direction of his character and recently reached a breaking point.
It’s being said that him leaving is not about the money, and he’s indicated to WWE management that he doesn’t want to negotiate any further.
One of Dean’s colleagues was asked about his demeanor backstage and said “he’s pretty much impossible to read.” Then added that Dean “hates hokey sh–” referencing how his character has been portrayed over the last few years.
