Dean Ambrose Lands Role In New MMA Themed Movie

Dean Ambrose recently parted ways with WWE, and it wasn’t long before he dropped a teaser video on Twitter revealing that he will be using the name Jon Moxley.

It’s rumored that Jon Moxley will be hitting the independent circuit in the months to come, but it looks like he’s focused on more than just professional wrestling.

Deadline reports that Ambrose, billed under his real name Jonathan Good, has joined the cast of a MMA themed movie titled “Cagefighter.”

The film is currently in pre-production, and is set to tell the story of a MMA champion who loses a heavily promoted match to a professional wrestling star making his debut in the MMA world. He then has bounce back from the humiliation and fight his way to the top and earn a rematch.

The movie is also set to star MMA fighter and actor Josh Herdman, along with Michael Jai White, Gina Gershon, Michelle Ryan, and Jason Maza. MMA stars set to make appearances in the film include Anderson Silva, Georges St Pierre and Alexander Gustafsson.

Former WWE Superstar Jason “Christian” Reso is signed on to work as a producer for the film.
