For months now Sami Zayn has been one of the most talked about performers in all of wrestling and he’s earned a lot of praise for the work he’s done with The Bloodline storyline. Some big names have taken notice of Sami Zayn in recent months including WWE Hall of Fame Diamond Dallas Page.
Recently DDP spoke to WrestleBinge about the current trajectory of Sami Zayn’s career, and he revealed that he pulled Sami aside at the Royal Rumble to give him some words of encouragement.
“I think the one really endearing factor with Sami… some of the things Sami did was make Roman break character and he would end up laughing. I think that really captivated the crowd.” Page then explained that he looked for Zayn when he was at “Raw Is XXX” and didn’t catch him, but was later able to pull him aside at Royal Rumble. “I wanted him to know how much I loved what he was doing with the whole Bloodline thing. I said, ‘I believe this is going to break you out and give you that opportunity to be that top guy that you know you are.’ He was very humble about it.”
It was announced on the most recent episode of Raw that Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens will challenge The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39. That match is expected to take place on night 1 and you can get more on the lineup for WrestleMania 39 here.
