David Otunga’s world has flipped upside down recently, as he’s currently in the midst of a legal battle with his wife Jennifer Hudson. The couple have broken up, and Hudson filed a protective order against Otunga, claiming that he exhibited, “aggressive, threatening and harassing behavior toward me.” She added, “I am now living in fear of further action David might take.”
TMZ is now reporting that a domestic battery investigation has been opened, and it’s been classified as a misdemeanor. Otunga’s lawyer put out a statement denying the accusations, and it’s now being reported that the former Nexus member has pulled out of Sunday’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view due to the allegations.
Sources close to the situation say that Otunga wants to focus on the legal battle over the custody of their child, and he’s fighting for the right to co-parent their son.
It’s also being reported that David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson broke up after Otunga accused her of secretly dating producer Mali Music. David believes they were having a secret affair for months, but Jennifer Hudson is denying the accusations.
In 2014, Hudson called Mali her favorite artist saying, “My favorite artist is Mali Music. See, y’all don’t even know who he is. Y’all gotta look up Mali Music, trust me.”
Mali Music was asked for comment but has yet to respond.
