Recently we reported that David Benoit would be making his in ring debut this July at a Hart Legacy event. It appears that is no longer happening as Bret Hart’s older brother, Smith hart was simply trying to add David to show to generate ticket sales.
Word recently got out that Smith had booked David despite the fact that David isn’t formally trained which got Chris Jericho involved. Chris Jericho was said to be furious when he found out David was scheduled to take part in a match without being trained. Chavo Guerrero was scheduled to be David’s tag team partner but Chavo dropped off the show after finding out that David isn’t a trained wrestler.
As of right now Smith is still trying to get David to appear on the show and do some sort of angle but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
