There was a lot of anticipation leading up to Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage as it was rumored that CM Punk would be making his debut at the United Center, and AEW did not disappoint. Punk returned to wrestling after 7 years away, and he confirmed that he will be returning to the ring when he faces Darby Allin at All Out.
Jon Moxley defeated Daniel Garcia in the Rampage main event, and after it was over Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Sting and Darby Allin brawled with 2.0 and Daniel Garcia. After the show went off the air Moxley, Kingston, Tony Khan and Sting cut promos before the Chicago crowd, and Darby Allin also cut a brief promo in which he said it will be an honor to face CM Punk at All Out.
“I’m gonna keep this very brief. This f**king company changed my life. And after All Out, everybody will know my name. CM Punk, it’ll be an honor.”
The AEW All Out pay-per-view will air live on Sunday, September 5. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
