This week’s episode of SmackDown Live featured a big gauntlet match to determine the next challenger for the WWE Championship.
Daniel Bryan, Big E, Samoa Joe, The Miz and Rusev all competed in the match, and Daniel Bryan entered first.
Prior to the gauntlet match, The Bludgeon Brothers successfully defended the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Daniel Bryan was making his entrance as they were making their exit, and the team stopped when they encountered Bryan on their way out, and they stared Bryan down.
Bryan made his way to the ring for the gauntlet match, and he defeated Big E, and defeated Samoa Joe by count out.
But shortly after Joe was counted out, The Bludgeon Brothers appeared out of nowhere and attacked Bryan, then Miz hit him with the Skull Crushing Finale to eliminate him.
Judging from the segment, it appears that Bryan will be entering a feud with The Bludgeon Brothers.
How this will all work out, and who his tag team partner might be remains to be seen, but a Bryan vs. Bludgeon Brothers feud was strongly hinted at on SmackDown this week.
