Daniel Bryan’s career in the ring was cut way too short but according to a lot of people close to Bryan, he’s looking for a return to the ring. Now the only question is whether WWE’s doctor Joseph Maroon will clear him to compete.
The Beaded GOAT recently spoke to Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard where he gave some detail about the time frame he’s currently working with on when he could have a better idea if he will be returning to the squared circle as a competitor.
“I assume that if I don’t wrestle by WrestleMania, I probably won’t be wrestling with WWE at all,” said Bryan. “That’s my assumption.”
“It’s not a black and white answer,” Daniel Bryan continued. “There are a lot of issues with me getting cleared by WWE. They have a very strict protocol, which is a good thing, but the timeline of all that happening was not the best for me. It’s an interesting situation that will develop.”
Therefore, it looks like WrestleMania is Daniel Bryan’s cut off date. This could lead some to believe he might be hinting at something taking place during the Show Of Shows. After all, if any event is big enough for Daniel Bryan’s return it is certainly WrestleMania.
If Daniel Bryan made his return at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans it would be quite fitting seeing how he walked away from WrestleMania 30 in the same building with WWE’s biggest prize.
Let’s hope WWE lets him wrestle again, but whatever he decides to do, the important part is that he remains healthy though everything because Daniel Bryan is a father now and has a lot more to consider regarding his health at this point.
