Daniel Bryan was recently a guest on Sam Roberts’ podcast as he was promoting his new book. During the interview Bryan mentioned that he thinks WWE needs a brand split again and also talked about his plan for the Intercontinental Championship.
He says he wanted to make the title and himself exclusive to SmackDown and use it to elevate other wrestlers. His plan was to try and make that title something that could carry the brand and build feuds with guys like Cesaro, Cody Rhodes and Ryback to show WWE officials that those guys have what it takes to carry a show.
