The WWE cruiserweight division has lost its champion as Enzo Amore was recently fired from WWE following sexual assault allegations that were made against him, and it appears that the Cruiserweight Championship is now vacant.
General Manager Daniel Bryan has announced that Enzo Amore is no longer part of the brand and that next week a new General Manager will be announced for 205 Live, and their very first task will be to address the status of the vacant title.
How a new champion will be decided remains to be seen, but stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
Last week WWE debuted a brand new show called Mixed Match Challenge which features mixed tag teams from both brands competing in a tournament to win a cash prize which will be donated to charity.
The show airs live every Tuesday night on Facebook Watch after SmackDown, and this week The Miz and Asuka defeated Big E and Carmella.
Live viewership for this week’s episode managed to hit 91,000 which is a drop from last week’s episode which hit 135,000 live viewers.
This week’s episode of Mixed Match Challenge can now be viewed on Facebook Watch, and next week’s episode will feature Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn.
