Daniel Bryan has had an interesting week. He introduced two new championships on SmackDown Live, then he walked off the set of Talking Smack on Tuesday after The Miz called him a coward. Bryan also sat down with Michael Cole for Cole’s weekly interview and he talked about Brock Lesnar, Finn Balor and more.
During the interview Bryan was asked about Brock Lesnar hitting the F5 on Shane McMahon, and he says that when you step into the ring that’s the risk you take. He noted that his dream match was a match with Brock Lesnar, and that before WWE told him he couldn’t wrestle anymore, he was developing a style that was unlike anything else.
Bryan was also asked about Finn Balor vacating the title and he said that those type of things happen, but he thinks it’s tragic because Finn just debuted. He went on to say that he thinks WWE should have called up Balor a year and a half ago, because he was already a superstar when they first signed him.
As Bryan continued he named guys like Nakamura and Joe and said that they’re in their prime and they need to be on the main roster.
“He should have been here a year and a half ago. Samoa Joe should already be here, Shinsuke Nakamura should already be here. Those are guys in their primes, and their down in NXT right now, and they should be here, either on SmackDown Live or on Raw. The longer we wait, the more bumps they take, the more bruises they get, and the more susceptible they are to injury. Everybody knows there’s a finite number of hits that you can take in your career, you don’t know what that number is, and the more hits you take down in NXT, the less hits you’re going to be able to take when you’re here.”
