Daniel Bryan’s in-ring return to WWE is a very special thing for a lot of people. He was the face for the underdog in all of us during his first run and now he is the epitome of following your dreams.
As D-Bry ventured inside the Superdome once again WWE’s cameras followed him around the entire time. It was pretty cool to see him revisit some spots that he remembers so fondly, especially the trainer’s room where he spent a lot of time getting his neck in shape for his matches that night. After all, Daniel Bryan had to compete twice at WrestleMania XXX against Triple H first and then later in a triple threat match against Randy Orton and Batista for the main event.
But one of the coolest moments came when Daniel Bryan explored his former locker room where he prepared for the big night and had a chance to soak it in when all was said and done.
“I remember coming down here and I was in one of two lockers,” Daniel Bryan remembered as he took the camera on a tour of his WrestleMania XXX locker room. “Yeah, but that’s where I was at the end of the night. You sit there by yourself and everybody is gone and you have a chance to reflect. It was pretty cool.”
As it turns out, the Superdome locker room was also one of the rare places where Daniel Bryan went against William Regal’s advice.
“I also had a big debate with William Regal about gear last time I was here and it’s one of the few times I went against his advice. It’s the first time I wore my fuzzy kick pads and yeah it was pretty neat.”
Daniel Bryan says he remembers the locker room and the training room the most because he spent the most time there for obvious reasons. The last time Daniel Bryan performed at WrestleMania in New Orleans it started something amazing even though he was only supposed to be a transition champion to hold the title for Brock Lesnar.
Ironically, Roman Reigns was supposed to be close behind and take the title from The Beast Incarnate but things didn’t go according to plan. Now Roman Reigns looks like he will finally jump on the Universal Title and fulfill a four-year story that Vince McMahon has in his head as Daniel Bryan makes his triumphant return as part of a tag team match in the very building where the Yes Movement saw their greatest victory to date.
