Daniel Bryan has been one of the top names in the professional wrestling industry for some time now, and a few months ago his contract with WWE expired. Since then there’s been a lot of speculation regarding where Bryan could end up next.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net is reporting that Daniel Bryan is 100% locked in as he has signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling. It’s being reported that the former WWE Champion wanted to work less dates for comparable money, he wanted to be able to work in Japan, and he wanted creative input on his character.
AEW reportedly met Bryan’s terms with the deal, and as of right now there are tentative plans for his debut.
Daniel Bryan last competed for WWE back in April when he challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship on SmackDown. Bryan was banished from SmackDown after losing the match and it was later reported that his contract had expired.
It was recently reported by PWInsider that WWE had no merchandise or action figure plans for Daniel Bryan moving forward, which led many to believe that he would not be returning to the company.
