For weeks now Roman Reigns has been trying to uncover the identity of his mystery attacker and last week on SmackDown Live he revealed footage showing that Erick Rowan was involved in the first attack.
Daneil Bryan then slapped Rowan in the face and seemingly disowned him following the reveal.
Bryan grabbed a microphone, denied that he had any involvement and walked down to the ring then proclaimed that Rowan is a liar. As Bryan was entering the ring Roman Reigns hit him with a spear to put him down.
Daniel Bryan issued the following statement:
“Roman Reigns speared me last week and I understand his frustration. I know how it looks. I know a lot of people don’t like me and I know I seem guilty by association, but that doesn’t make me a liar. Erick Rowan is the one to blame and I have had nothing to do with this. Therefore, I still deserve an apology from Roman Reigns.”
