It’s been almost a year since CM Punk signed with UFC but he has yet to step into the octagon. However the hunt for Punk’s first opponent is underway. UFC President Dana White launched a show on YouTube called “Dana White: Looking For A Fighter” and it appears that White will be using the show to look for CM Punk’s first UFC opponent.
“I just started a new show, the pilot is on YouTube, it’s called ‘Dana White Looking for a Fight’ and I’m actually out looking for opponents for CM Punk right now.” White told TSN on Thursday.
White also confirmed that Punk will definitely be fighting in 2016.
“It’s the first time this guy has ever trained to fight. The guy’s never wrestled. He’s professional wrestled but he’s never wrestled. He will fight next year, 100 percent.” Dana White added.
