When WWE released Damien Sandow fans all around the world were heartbroken. Sandow was give his fair share of awful gimmicks, but time and time again he won people over due to the fact that he was always able to take what he was doing and turn it into gold.
After his WWE departure, Sandow made the jump to Impact Wrestling where he adopted the name Aron Rex. Over the weekend Sandow confirmed during an interview with Title Match Wrestling that he’s done with Impact, and he also said that he’s not sure if he’ll be getting back in the ring.
“I don’t know if this is going to be it for me, because I’m no longer with Impact,” Sandow said. “Ending on this note is not a bad thing. I’m not saying I’m never going to get in the ring again, but this is pretty cool, and I’d much rather people remember me for all the good stuff.”
Although he seemed unsure of his future in the wrestling business during the interview, he took to Twitter to let fans know that although his time with Impact Wrestling has come to an end, he’s not officially closing the door on his wrestling career.
Damien Sandow certainly still has a lot to offer the industry, as just about everything he’s done over the past few years has been entertaining. We wish him the best of luck with the opportunities he’s exploring, but we hope to see him back in the squared circle sooner rather than later.
