For years Aron Stevens worked as Damien Sandow in WWE and many people would argue that he was one of the most entertaining performers on the roster. It seemed that Damien Sandow was on his way to becoming one of the top stars in WWE when he won Money in the Bank in 2013, but when he cashed in his title shot on John Cena he failed to win the Championship.
The former Damien Sandow recently spoke to Ten Count about plans for his cash in and he confirmed there was originally talk of him winning the title when he said, “It was said to me, but there are no promises. There are no guarantees.”
He went on to elaborate on his reaction to the failed cash in and he indicated that it did get to him, but he tried his best to simply move forward and do what he needed to do.
“How would you want me to feel? It’s one of those things where it is what it is. And you know what? You can dwell on the past, which, you know, that got to me a little bit. Or you can go forward. Behind the scenes? Yeah, it can get to me. But as a performer, I go out there; I don’t care what I did. I may not like the script I’m handed, but I can weave that straw into gold.”
